A Step Above Handy

You could spend your efforts looking at multiple contractors but save yourself some time! I tripped over A Step Above based on an advertisement I saw on their truck when I was driving. I couldn't be more delighted I made the call. I was in a horrific situation after 2 previous contractors ruined a deck remodel!! I hired A Step Above (Eulis, Travis, and Logan) to help fix the disaster. Beautiful job, great communication not only answering questions to reassure me but also with ideas. Their AI system helps with appointment reminders etc. They are reliable, professional, honest, great craftsman, and all around terrific guys and company. Next month they are back doing a different job for me! They've got a client for life! They exceeded my expectations and my PTSD of the previous contractors is behind me with a beautiful deck thanks to A Step Above! Would recommend without hesitation.

All around great to work with. Helped refine my design for aesthetics and compatability of installation with other work required (brick masonry & flooring installation). Very professional when scheduling and completing the work - kept the job site clean and checked in with me to verify things were up to my standards throughout the renovation. If decisions were required during the demo or install phase, they let me know the options & tradeoffs and asked if I had a preference, rather than making a judgement call and risking me not loving the outcome. Would recommend to a friend and will be working with them again on future projects!

From 1st meeting Eulis for an estimate, to Logan’s final touches on the last day… everything went smoothly and impressively. They really knew how to problem solve and achieve our desired results. We recently selected A Step Above Handy to complete a master bath remodel. First, the design options suggested by Eulis gave us the most usable space and the quote was competitive with other options. We were able to add a linen closet and not just some shelving. We also added a much larger walk-in shower and room for a big 7 ft vanity. We swapped out an odd window that my wife hated which was a nice bonus. The work went according to schedule despite some winter weather. Logan and team arrived each day as planned and were easy to work with - very professional crew. I would certainly recommend A Steve Above to anyone considering a bath remodel and we would consider them again for other projects we might have. I might add pictures after the shower door folks complete that installation, but everything looks great.

I can't say enough great things about A Step Above Handy! Eulis is so easy to work with. He is great at addressing everything that needs to be done on a project and is quick to respond with a thorough (and reasonable) quote. Communication is definitely a strength! Their men are prompt, professional and talented! I honestly cannot find one complaint. Several projects have already been completed, and we have already scheduled three more plans that will be finalized within the next month, including new Storm and Entry doors, new railing and columns on our front porch, new shutters and outside light fixtures. Looking forward to a continued relationship with this company!
