My husband and I came here for lunch while in Mooresville. We wanted to support a small local place and came across Athena‘s. We were greeted promptly and politely. We ordered and food came out quickly. I ordered the Greek Chicken Wrap with onion rings and my husband had the Gyro with mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious! Onion rings were hot and crunchy, the vegetables even came in a seasoned broth that was really good! Our server was polite and helpful. Our two meals with drinks as $38. We will be back!

We visited Athena’s for the first time last night and it was a great experience. We love a good diner, and this is a local gem right here in Mooresville. Great food. The Chicken Souvlaki was excellent. Daughter and husband ordered breakfast, which they also loved. Saralyn was our server. She was great! So friendly and welcoming. We’ve definitely found a new favorite spot.

I stopped by around 6 p.m. on a Wednesday evening, excited to support a local spot. The place smelled great from the outside, which made me look forward to dining in. There were only two people eating inside and one takeout order picked up during the 45 minutes I was there.
The staff mostly stayed off to the side, chatting and laughing. Unfortunately, my water was never refilled, and the server didn’t really check in, which was disappointing considering I was the only seated customer for most of the visit.
The food, however, was pretty solid. I ordered the veggie lasagna, and while I was surprised by how sweet the red sauce was and pretty liquidy, I actually enjoyed the flavor all things considered. The pasta was cooked al dente, and overall the dish was flavorful. The salad, on the other hand, was a bit awkward to eat — the vegetables were cut in huge pieces and needed to be chopped down to fit in a bite. The dressing was pretty plain.
I also tried the baklava, which I’d rate around a 6/10. It was okay, but not particularly memorable.
If their lasagna is any indication of how they prepare their other pasta dishes and sauces, I’d say it’s worth coming back for that. Just be aware of the service on slower days — maybe consider ordering to go. Still, I encourage others to support local businesses like this one. With a little more attentiveness to guests, this place could really shine.

First time ordering from here, probably won’t again soon. Just ok, very bland. Showmars has a better gyro. Chicken Mykonos was all angel hair pasta (although we asked for orzo). Not sure what dressing was on the Greek salads, it wasn’t lemon and olive oil, was red and had little flavor.

Today, my husband and I visited the establishment for breakfast and had an enjoyable experience. The food was satisfactory, and the service was exceptional. The female staff members consistently greeted us with a positive attitude and warm smiles and very lovely hospitality.
However, we observed that the female servers were subjected to poor treatment and derogatory remarks. We could discern what appeared to be a male manager issuing rude behavior and making loud movements in the background and raising voices to the lady’s. After a few minutes, we noticed the servers hurriedly passing by with uncomfortable expressions, indicating a tense atmosphere. It was evident that the servers were distressed and disinterested in continuing their work regardless they kept a good attitude with all the customers.
We hope that these reviews reach the upper management, who can take appropriate action to address this issue. We had the opportunity to meet all the servers, and we can confidently assure that they are all lovely individuals.
