Charlotte Independence Soccer Club

We love being a part of the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club family! Our boys have played on the recreational, junior academy & competitive teams. The coaching staff is supportive & knowledgeable. They’ve helped our boys grow their love for the game and also develop their skill sets.

We have three children playing at three different levels (Girls Academy, Pre-Girls Academy, and Youth Academy) and I continue to be incredibly impressed by the coaching, communication, and overall development of our kids. Above all, the coaches emphasize sportsmanship and leadership, which is equally important to us. My children have grown to absolutely love the sport, in large part thanks to the amazing coaching from John Cullen, Bailey Cullen, Jay Lockhart and Ale Morin. Our weekends are spent on the soccer fields, and watching them do what they love in such a supportive and professional environment is truly all we can ask for. Thank you, CISC…we are grateful to be part of this community.

Our family has been with CISC for three years and have joined their competitive soccer, summer camps and futsal programs The futsal program offers high quality training and a fun environment for the players to grow their skills.My kids enjoy the beach soccer opportunities and the summer camps so much that they ask to go back every year. They enjoy the high energy of the coaches and the supportive environment of the community across the club. The competitive outdoor soccer program offers various levels of competition and has some great coaches.

My daughter has played for Charlotte Independence since it's transition from Carolina Rapids years ago. She has been involved since age 7 from the youth academy up to currently playing with the ECNL/Girls Academy program in high school. I cannot say enough great things about John Cullen (Girls Academy Director) and Matt Brown (Goalkeeper Director) for what they have provided over the years in preparing my daughter for her next chapter of life, becoming a college athlete. These coaches have taught her valuable soccer skills but more importantly have invested their time in supporting her learn and adapt life skills as she has grown up in this program. I am thankful that she has a family in her teammates and coaches that she can rely on and return to for years to come.

We can’t say enough great things about Independence Soccer Club! The coaching and staff are truly exceptional. Over the past several seasons, we’ve seen tremendous growth in our son’s skills, confidence, and love for the game — largely thanks to Coach Ward’s leadership and ability to ignite a new level of drive in him. The development has been remarkable. Our son gave up multiple other sports to focus solely on soccer, and because of this club, he has never regretted that decision.
