Choplin's Restaurant

We discovered this gem thru Groupon and couldn't be happier!! I entered and was immediately greeted by the owner, Faith, and the manager, Sarah. We instantly bonded over a common life challenge. They were both very compassionate and we ended up hugging like family. My husband and I were seated at the Chef's table and proceeded to thoroughly enjoy one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. The service was impeccable, with precisely timed courses served piping hot. It's a true dining experience. Dress up and bring your Love to this fine dining room. The chef is Faith's husband and they are both very kind. We bought a DATE NIGHT as a gift for our son so he can treat his Love to this cozy spot.

We went in for a nice little anniversary dinner, and let me say they were above and beyond what we expected. They decorated our table for our anniversary. Our server was Sky, and she is fantastic. She also designs cupcakes and drinks for them and their new location. YES I said a new location in Huntersville. If you haven't... you must !!!! What a Gem oh and the food goes without saying. It was amazing and my wife is a picky eater and the chef took great care of her. We will 159 % be back

Great service on the phone and in person. I had an issue with my Mango rice once and I called and they were happy to replace. The same person who seats you may be the same person who takes your order, answer the phone, and complete take out! Very busy but never too busy to tend to their customers! Try their cucumber salad, wide rice noodles, mango sticky rice, and thia tea! 5 stars!

Choplin's had good food that was well prepared. The sides were under seasoned, but the meats/mains were all great. I did not like the ambiguity that ordering entailed: add ons were presented as included amenities, such as water and bread.

Food was underwhelming. Ribeye was average, but we've had better at chain steakhouse restaurants. Chicken Marsala was a huge disappointment. Drowning in gravy that tasted more like a packet of brown gravy than marsala sauce. Seasonal vegetables were bland and mashed potatoes were generic. Ordered bread expecting toasted loaf of bread, but got 4 rolls covered in a butter garlic sauce. Lobster bisque was the best thing we had, but again, it was average. Wait time was over an hour and we were one of maybe 5 tables sat. Apparently, there was a special for the evening, a red snapper dish, but we only found out about it after we ordered and it was brought out to another table as the server never mentioned. Server was friendly, but couldnt answer questions on the dishes or provide recommendations. She repeatedly called us 'love' which was kinda off-putting, but whatever. Atmosphere was okay, but the location was unexpected as it's in a strip mall. Reviews are misleading and we'll skip another visit.
