We started working with Christian to address anxious and reactive behaviors in our five-year-old German Shepherd. From the start, the experience was a night-and-day difference from previous trainers we’ve worked with. What truly makes Christian’s approach stand out is that it isn't 'one size fits all.' He takes his extensive knowledge of dog behavior and applies the specific methodology that works best for *your* dog and *your* unique situation. For us, that meant creating specific 'jobs' for our working breed to redirect his anxiety, which was the root cause of his reactivity and resource guarding. A few highlights of our experience: - Consistency: Unlike other companies where you get a different trainer every week, having Christian as a consistent presence meant we never wasted time 're-explaining' our progress. - Convenience: We opted for a six-lesson package, and Christian was incredibly flexible, scheduling sessions at our convenience which was a lifesaver for our busy schedules. - In-Home Training: He comes to you every time, which allowed us to work on issues in the environment where they actually happen. After our six sessions, it truthfully feels like we have a different dog. He is significantly more relaxed and has finally learned how to 'turn off' his mind. Christian’s pricing is very fair, and we now feel fully equipped with the tools to continue this progress on our own. I couldn’t recommend him and Civilized K9 more!

We recently concluded training sessions with Christian for our two dogs, and we were very impressed. Christian gave both the dogs—and us—the tools to make walking far more enjoyable. With one fence-aggressive dog, we were amazed by the progress after just a few sessions. Christian also went above and beyond by bringing his own dog to assist with the training. Christian is the best! He started working with our Golden Retriever puppy at 3 months old and helped not only train our puppy, but also taught us how to train him on our own. Christian is easy to work with and his methods are safe/ effective. Our puppy Cooper loves him!

We worked with Christian for in-home dog training for our 8-month-old Shih-poo, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. He came to our home Monday through Thursday, and then did a transfer session with us each Friday so we could learn and practice everything our pup had worked on during the week. Christian was patient, professional, and incredibly skilled at reading our dog’s personality and adjusting the training to fit his needs. Our puppy adored him, and we saw noticeable improvements in his behavior and confidence after just the first week. The transfer sessions were especially helpful—he made it easy for us to continue the training and stay consistent at home.
