Dream Big Basketball Academy

We signed up for a spring skills academy and we paid for 12 sessions. First, they cut the academy short on May 17 even though their schedule literally has it going until May 20. So we could only go to 10/12 sessions. And of course, no emails about refunds. Second, they constantly changed locations an hour or two before which was frustrating to go from one location to another during traffic hour. Third, although my stepdaughter wasn’t as skilled as the other girls, the coaches barely seemed to actually guide her. Even watching practices, there was clear favoritism and a sense of “I’m better than you” energy in the air between the girls. They formed cliques. She told me that she was left behind and she preferred swim team over this. There was no sense of camaraderie or teamwork until they had to practice against each other. Fourth, my stepdaughter had to have emergency surgery and I sent several emails asking to cancel due to the fact she would be recovering, but no damn person reached out to me forcing us to send her back in early so we wouldn’t lose our money. We will never recommend this program.

We absolutely love working with Coach Chris! He is very knowledgeable, skilled, and encouraging. His lessons are well-structured and my son always comes away with helpful things to work on to improve his game. Highly recommend!

I’m very impressed with the level of professionalism from the coaching staff at Dream Big. Both of my boys are having a great experience learning to play basketball for the first time and this has a lot to do with the positive, upbeat, professional level of coaching here. We’ve had the most experience with Coach Rashon. Can’t say enough positive things about how well he works with the kids. My boys are sweating and smiling at the end of each session and eager to keep playing and practicing when they get home. The exercises and drills they do during session are fun and unique. I wish I could get out there and learn too! Dream Big’s home facility is bright and immaculate and their host courts are also great. Very convenient locations within Huntersville.

My son has been training with Chris since August, twice a week, and we are thrilled with the results! I explained to Chris the areas for which my son needed to improve and Chris knew exactly which exercises and reps, strength training and guidance to provide and it’s working! I’m excited to see Christian’s level of improvement by end of month and believe that Chris’s training knowledge will help my son get on the school team again this year. Coach Davon Bell has been working with My son MJ since he was 6 years old. He is currently 9 and grown and advanced so much under his trainings. Top notch!
