Karen and the entire team at Freshwater Interior Design were an absolute pleasure to work with. When we purchased our new house we knew we were starting from scratch, and they made the entire process so easy to do while we were hundreds of miles away! Not only did we walk into a beautifully designed home that was better than what we envisioned, but we also got the comfort of knowing the team was there to answer any of our questions. 10/10 all around!! We worked with Freshwater Design & Build on our first major kitchen and living room renovation, and the results were excellent - everything exceeded our expectations! Karen was a wonderful partner in the design process. Her team guided us through important decisions with professionalism, experience, and creativity. She listened well to ideas and pointed us in the right direction to build out a beautiful plan for the kitchen and living room. She paid attention to the details and took the time to make sure we had everything right before construction. Alan, Austin, and the team on the build side delivered with excellence as well. They are professional, informed, hard-working, and committed to making the design vision come to life. Alan helped guide us on selecting high quality materials and making the best construction decisions with our space. With any renovation project, challenges or delays can come up, but Alan and Austin always found a way to problem-solve and find solutions in a timely manner. One thing we really admired was how they worked around the clock to get us in before a deadline we we're hoping for - Christmas Eve! Since then, if anything has come up, Alan and Austin have always responded very quickly and efficiently to help. When we walked back in for the first time after project completion and Install Day (furniture delivery), I cried! It was so beautiful, and we have since been so happy in our refreshed home. Any home renovation is a long journey, but working with Freshwater made it very worth it. We look forward to working with Karen, Alan, and their teams on more projects in the future. We recently worked with Freshwater Design & Build to renovate our outdated kitchen, our teenage son’s bathroom, and our young daughter’s bathroom—and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From the very first consultation, Karen and Alan from Freshwater were attentive, professional, and full of creative ideas. Somehow Karen knew exactly what we were looking for. Our kitchen has been completely transformed into a bright, functional, and welcoming space that we now enjoy every day. The layout flows beautifully, and the attention to detail in the cabinetry and finishes is exceptional. For our teenage son’s bathroom, they struck the perfect balance between modern and masculine. It’s stylish without being overdone, and it gives him his own space that feels cool and grown-up. Our daughter’s bathroom is equally impressive—playful, elegant, and designed to grow with her. The team included thoughtful touches like soft colors and beautiful tile work that made it feel truly custom. Freshwater Design & Build made the entire renovation process smooth and enjoyable. We remained in the house through the process and they were very considerate of that. They communicated clearly, stayed on schedule, and definitely delivered beyond our expectations.
