If you have a special-needs pet, I would avoid this hospital. When we arrived for our scheduled grooming appointment, we learned the groomer hadn’t shown up—something no one informed us about—so we had to reschedule. We rescheduled, and he was eventually groomed, but now we’re being told a fecal exam is required, even though our pet is fully up to date on vaccinations and this was never required for any previous grooming visits. At our last vet visit, we were told the fecal test couldn’t be removed from the bill because it was part of a package, and that it was our choice whether we brought in a sample or not. Now we’re being told it’s no longer optional. It’s clear this isn’t about safety—it feels like they’re trying to stop seeing him. Understood. We will be taking our loves to a vet with no bias.

HPAH Hospital has taken exceptional care of my very nervous Dalmatian from the very beginning, as well as my parents dogs. From her early puppy visits, through her spay, and during moments of high stress and serious illness, their care has been consistently compassionate, attentive, and professional. The manager, Tara, took the time to truly educate me on typical vs. atypical vaccine reactions, which helped me feel informed and confident as a pet parent. When my dog was seriously sick, Dr. C and Maya provided quick, focused, and attentive care, exactly what you hope for in an urgent situation. What truly sets this hospital apart is how genuinely the entire staff treats pets like their own. My dog is always met with patience, cuddles, treats, and kindness, which makes a world of difference for an anxious pup (and an anxious owner). Dr. Allers, Dr. Spano, and Dr. Rothe are all excellent doctors, knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate in their approach. On top of that, the hospital offers multiple payment options, which removes the added stress of finances in emotional moments. It is immediately evident why this hospital won AAHA Hospital of the Year. The level of care, education, and heart they provide is unmatched. I am beyond grateful to have my dog in their hands and cannot recommend HPAH highly enough. Five stars all around!!!!

​I used to be a client here several years ago and had a great experience, so after finally getting a new puppy, I naturally thought I’d bring him back. Unfortunately, the transition has already been disappointing, to say the least. ​Getting someone on the phone was a mission. No one answered and the voicemail said I might get a callback in 3 hours, which is wild for a vet office. Giving them another try, I called again and when I finally got through to someone, I found out that every vet I worked with previously has left. That was a huge red flag for me. ​I also looked into their "new" wellness plan, and the math just doesn't add up. They’ve done away with free exams and nail trims—now it’s only two "healthy" exams—and there are additional fees to now have your pet’s nails trimmed. It honestly feels like a cash grab where you end up paying more for way less service. ​After looking at other recent reviews, it seems like I’m not the only one noticing this trend. Something has clearly changed for the worse here recently. I’m glad I checked before committing; I’ll be taking my puppy elsewhere.

I want to give a huge thank you to Diamond who helped me today. She was very kind, patient, welcoming and professional over the phone. She made a stressful time calm and reassuring, and it truly meant a lot. Excellent customer service like this makes such a difference at an animal hospital.

Our pups are well taken care of at Harbor Point. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and inviting! They know and love on our Aussies each time we visit. The care advice and exams are well received by both my pups and myself. We drive 30 minutes out of our way (passing 4 other vets) to come here.
