Hawthorne's NY Pizza and Bar

Hawthorne’s New York Pizza and Bar is an excellent Italian restaurant in North Carolina. The food is Amazing! As soon as you walk in the establishment, you are greeted by Gracie’s and welcomed to feel at home. The server, Amelie, was pleasant and attentive with the order, smiling throughout. Additionally, the manager, Carol, made a point to stop by and ensure we were happy and enjoying the experience. I’m an out-of-towner and stopped by three times. Before I leave town, I’m sure I’ll be back; everything on the menu looks and tastes like a 5-star rating. Thank you!

I ordered the "Crew Pizza" (New Yorker) with chopped meatballs and Italian sausage. The pizza dough was perfectly crunchy in all the right spots and had a great flavor. The toppings were fresh, generous, and packed with taste. Visited at 2 PM on a Saturday, and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. Justin, our server, was attentive and did an awesome job multitasking. Great experience overall! Definitely worth multiple returns.

WARNING - Don't order a brownie unless you're ok with being seriously disappointed. Ordered take out and good thing I decided to check my Chicken Alfredo before leaving - they forgot to include the chicken but fixed it without issue. Total order for 2 was $70.30. Got home and immediately regretted adding a $6.99 Brownie A la Mode. It was smaller than half the size of a playing card and not quite 3/4" thick. For $7.00 - are you kidding me - NEVER AGAIN!

Hungry for pizza stopped in to order a pizza to go, and no one would help me finally win. The lady at the takeout counter got through talking to her boyfriend in the kitchen we could see her a bit. She had her back to everyone in the takeout lobby. After standing with other guest staring, wondering if someone would notice us I asked her to see a menu. She gave me a menu, but then walked away just so unfriendly. I'm leaving now going back to Papa John's. Don't come here if you are looking for friendly service

Garlic knots were amazing! The kids enjoyed their personal pizzas! I ordered the sausage and pepperoni Sicilian and it was very good! Our waiter was great! Would definitely eat here again!
