Joyful Senior Living

My mom has been at Joyful Senior Living for almost a year now and it has been great. It’s a very caring, peaceful environment that we feel is much healthier than the isolation of being home alone or the impersonal and sometimes chaotic feel of a larger, institutional type facility. Although she didn't want to leave her home, she adjusted very quickly (much to our surprise) and is now thriving. She loves the food and has more energy. She socializes with the other residents and participates in activities with them (games, puzzles, exercise, crafts, etc). She is active throughout the day and there has been a noticeable improvement in her physical and mental health that even her doctors have commented on. The staff are all caring and pleasant. They do a great job at engaging with the residents and attending to their needs. You can tell that they love what they do. The owners, Gino and Jessica, are very involved in the daily operations and are the nicest people you could ever meet. It is clear that they see their work as a calling rather than just a business. I would highly recommend JSL to any family looking for a supportive and loving home for their loved one.

I am giving this a 5 star because I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place they can be rest assured their loved ones will be taken care of. Gino and Jessica are the owners that own and run this facility; when I first visited the facility I was impressed by the care & attention given to the residents as well as the ambiance felt in the home. It feels more like a home than a facility with its small population size & one on one care being received. There’s always an aide 24/7 to assist residents with their care ensuring clean, safe & nurturing environment. The recreational activities( games, music etc)is a plus that gives residents a sense of purpose to look forward to. Schedule a visit and you won’t be disappointed- there’ll always be a place for your loved one.

The adult care home that Joyful Senior Living has in Mooresville is truly wonderful. Modern, spacious, bright, and warm. The residents are engaged by staff in such a positive manner. Their outdoor back deck is also a wonderful space for the residents. I have worked in senior care in the Lake Norman area for 20 years, and Joyful Senior Living's leadership and caregivers are truly first rate.

If my parents were living in Charlotte, NC, I would undoubtedly encourage them to consider Joyful Senior Living as their home. Jessica and Gino are such welcoming hosts who create an environment that feels less like a senior living facility and more like a community of friends sharing a beautiful home in Huntersville. During my visit, I brought the last 2 puppies from my Lucy's litter (Jack Russell Puppies) for the residents to enjoy, and I was warmly welcomed. It was heartwarming to see the joy and smiles as the seniors received plenty of puppy kisses. This level of care and attention to creating a warm, family-like atmosphere is something I would want for myself when I get older. I highly recommend Joyful Senior Living for anyone seeking a comfortable, caring, and home-like environment for their loved ones.

Gino and his team went above and beyond to care for my mother-in-law. The staff is very supportive and friendly. The home is very clean and peaceful. I can’t recommend them enough. Your family member will be fortunate to be part of Joyful Senior Living family.
