Julia's Talley House Restaurant

Stopped by for a late lunch. This cafeteria style spot has a small menu of good home cooking. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. The atmosphere is like stepping into your great grandmother‘s house and sitting down at the kitchen table for a quick bite of lunch. Staff was all local and very friendly.

When you're looking for a quiet place, at a reasonable price for a home cooked comfort food lunch, try Julia's. Located on main Troutman Rd, Julia's has been a long-time home style buffet with tasty fried chicken. When you're very hungry, this might be your place. Understand they might be under new ownership, so support your local businesses.

The fried chicken was OMG SO GOOD and the pulled pork was great also. The white corn was old cold and hard and the white rice was over cooked so I definitely didn’t enjoy that but everything else was pretty good. Our waitress was awesome! The house setup is so pretty I love the southern feel and the southern cooking. The restaurant and bathrooms was very clean. This place is a all you can eat buffet spot. I would give 5 stars but some of the food on the buffet was not fresh. So I’ll give them 3 stars BUT I will be returning to retry them again and I will update in hope I can give this place 5 stars.

I loved this small Southern restaurant! The fried chicken was amazing! I also love their ranch dressing. I definitely want to go back again. I love the home atmosphere feeling. If you go their definitely try their fried chicken!

A perfect local restaurant. Charming, great people, home cooking. The fried chicken is crazy good. Wish I wasn't on a diet because the desserts look great. We will be back.
