Kimbrough Park

This park is a staple of the black community. I've been playing at this park since I was knee high to a Grasshopper! 🤣 I'm so proud to say that I grew up with this park being apart of my life! It's grown to! Because.... guess what....... it's the place where Juneteenth in Statesville NC is held every year now! Look at you on your grown up ish!🥰💖🤗🎉

The park overall is a nice size for multiple people to have fun, but it is need of some definite help. The basketball court is nice in the size but needs to be redone. A lot of rocks and even some broken glass is on the court creating a hazard for children to play on. The other part is the area playground.. looks fine from afar but up close it has some really bad rusted areas including some parts that children could scrap themselves on. Overall the playground equipment and the court should be redone.

We were killing time and looking for a place to let the pups out for some exercise, which is exactly what they got. The park was clean and full of space. No one else was there during our stay so it was a good time to work with the young pups with no distractions.

Very quiet and beautiful in the wintertime. Ice on pond was pretty. Walking trail just right for me.

Great for the kids wonderful place nice people just needs a little TLC if you could help brighten up. Just a small little space please contact them and volunteer to help do a cleanup and brighten up day had a wonderful time
