Main Street Veterinary Hospital

When I moved to NC two years ago and was searching for a vet, I chose the office with the best reviews. I now need to add my review now as a very happy customer. Between my three dogs (two doodles and a pom) we’ve seen every Dr and encountered every front office staff member and vet tech. Every person working here is outstanding and compassionate. My dogs are always loved on and they lovvvve treat time at the end of the appt. It’s also very much appreciated that I’ve always gotten in day of or next day 99.9% of the time. Everything from check in, the Dr. visit, follow up phone calls, to checking out in the room is top notch and no detail is ever missed. Thank you all for your excellent care. -Dog mom

All my pets are patients of Main Street. My dog had 2 surgeries by them and thy were both successful. He had skin cancer and tore his ACL and meniscus. The staff are always pleasant and treat my pets very well. I definitely give Main Street Vet a 5 star!

My dogs have been patients here for almost a decade and I love this place. I no longer live in the Cornelius/Huntersville area but have continued to make the drive from south Charlotte for several years now because I really do feel like it’s worth it. The staff are always so friendly and the techs remember my dogs even though we generally only come in once a year for checkups. My dogs have seen Dr. Manzie, Dr. Wasserman, and Dr. Whitlock for checkups, procedures, and emergencies and we’ve never had less than a great experience with all three. They’re great at explaining things and really do seem to care about the dogs, sometimes going above and beyond what I believe would normally be expected. I feel like they give their honest opinions and feedback on any health issues rather than trying to upsell or guilt you. I’ve also used Main Street for boarding my dogs. My older dog has gone blind and his old boarding/daycare situation became untenable as he was mixed in with other dogs. I very much appreciate that he can get personalized space and attention where he doesn’t have to stress about other dogs. And if anything happens, the vets are right there to help! Anyway, we love this place and its staff and doctors. I genuinely trust them with my dogs’ care and definitely recommend them!

Today I had to make the difficult decision to put our family dog of 14 years down. The veterinarian and staff gave him wonderful attention with a smorgasbord of snacks, then I gave him squirts of canned spray cheese as he drifted to sleep. He licked it up until he drifted out. He passed slowly lying next to me in a very beautiful room set up like we were in our own living room at the vets office. Today is a tough day, but the love and compassion we received from the team at Main Street Veterinary Hospital made the most difficult experience manageable.

My dog Lucky is a super senior Maltese at almost 16 years old and is now suffering with dementia. He’s never liked grooming and now with dementia he is quite the handful. Kara groomed him today and figured out some tricks to get him all cleaned up! He looks like a little puppy again and I am so incredibly impressed. The staff at Main Street Vet are all amazing and compassionate as well. Thank you for taking such good care of my forever puppy. 💕
