Located conveniently along my daily commute, Mama's Pizza Express had always piqued my curiosity, yet it took a family outing to finally experience its offerings. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and efficiency by the friendly staff. Our orders, ranging from a classic pepperoni pizza to the intriguing Pizza Hero hot sandwich and a serving of chicken wings, were promptly served piping hot. Each dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality, with fresh ingredients and generous portions of cheese enhancing the flavors. The wings were a standout, impeccably cooked and boasting ample meatiness. Mama's Pizza Express isn't just about pizza; their extensive menu includes an array of Italian dishes, ensuring there's something for every palate. After indulging in the savory delights, we couldn't resist sampling their dessert selection and opted for the chocolate cannoli, a decision we certainly didn't regret. The dining area exuded a clean and inviting ambiance, with the option for outdoor seating adding to the charm. While we didn't utilize the restroom facilities, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the establishment left a positive impression. For those craving authentic Italian fare served with efficiency and a smile, Mama's Pizza Express comes highly recommended

I ordered a large cheese pizza for take out. The pizza is cold. I don't leave a lot of reviews but seriously guys. Do better. I haven't been here for a little while. Something changed. Can't say I will be back as there are literally 5 or 6 other NY style pizza places to choose from here in Huntersville

My wife and I have been customers for a long time, even after we moved to Kannapolis we always make a special trip to Mama’s because the pizza was that good. Sadly they appear to have gone downhill, we ordered our usual pizza with eggplant and usually it has big dollops of ricotta on it this time nothing it was a regular pie with eggplant thrown on top. The guy who brought it to our table even tried to cover up and say it was mixed in, if this is how they are going to treat loyal customers then I’ll move on. They have finally replaced the aging seats, the new ones are comfortable.

I fear this place has gone downhill. We’ve been ordering pizza from here for years. Tonight it took 2 hours and additional phone calls to get this burnt pizza. Pretty sure they took a cooked pizza and ran it through again and then brought it to us. Quality control is absent. That new corner crust place might be worth a try

We're NYC transplants since 2010, this is where we go for NY style pizza. The crust, the cook, the cheese blend & sauce, plus knowing how to do 'well done' when requested...no one in the area does it better. If you want a change of pace...get the Grandma Pie. Their sausage is insanely good on a pie, in a hero, or just on the side. The Hero/Sub options are also compelling...try The Nicky Special Or the Chicken Philly! Recently renovated, it still has that classic pizza parlor feel. The staff is friendly and knows the regulars by name. Be patient when they're busy if you call in...they'll get to you!
