Monkee's of Lake Norman

My first time in Monkee’s of Lake Norman. I had the pleasure of meeting Kim the owner of this location. She is the sweetest, kindest & has incredible taste! This store is beautifully decorated, bright & cheerful & packed with top Designer clothing & accessories. I noticed all of the high-quality jeans, as well as beautiful blazers that you may even find at Nordstrom without having to schlep all the way to South Park & endure the agonizing traffic on 77. No thanks to that! This Monkee’s location is family-owned & operated. Locals y’all! As I explored, I noticed designer names that I have seen on celebrities. Not many boutiques in Lake Norman offer these brands. For their one year anniversary on August 16-18, they are offering something special for customers that make a purchase & support their small business. Ask the store for details!!!! If i could give Monkee’s of Lake Norman more stars I would. Mostly for the people that smile & greet everyone, ask if they need help finding something. Some boutiques simply aren’t friendly to the customers that walk in, not here! Monkee’s treat their customers like family. So happy to have met them and I plan on returning. I went into Monkees of Lake Norman, at Birkdale, and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Kim, is so pleasant and friendly, and the staff is very helpful and nice too. They have a terrific selection of shoes - shoes that you won't find unless you go to Charlotte, along with gorgeous clothes and accessories. I highly recommend checking out this store!

This is by far, the best boutique north of charlotte. MONKEES of Lake Norman carries all of my favorite designers! They have an AWESOME selection of clothing, shoes and accessories! Surprisingly affordable for such high end merchandise in a beautiful store. A Friendly, helpful and beautiful staff. :))

Fabulous store, fabulous customer service. I found the most gorgeous emerald green pantsuit and black cocktail dress. My mother also found a navy silk dress and the owner found her the cutest belt and spent so much time showing my mom different ways to tie it. I’ve got my eyes on a purse and a couple pairs of shoes. Welcome to Birkdale I am so happy you opened your store here.

The racial profiling here is disgusting. The 2 workers kept following me and getting in my face asking me if they could help me, and just watched me all while several white women were able to shop freely without being harassed. Such a shame. I would have actually purchased a few dresses had I been treated equally. Then the owner had the nerve to ask people WHERE I LIVED!!! That’s not a good idea KIM!!! You don’t want to go there!! That’s a THREAT and I will act accordingly!
