Pet Supermarket

Recently stopped in for some dwarf shrimp and ended up getting a crayfish instead. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and polite from the time I came inside until checking out. They answered all of my questions and I have since gone back a few more times because I enjoy viewing the animals while getting feeders or supplies. The staff seem pleasant with the animals and are extremely kind when I ask for help, even mid-task, which is sometimes not the case. I will definitely come back!

Beautiful, absolutely wonderful tanks and husbandry. Slight misidentification on a fish I bought earlier today, but it was a super easy mix-up and I can completely understand. Aside from that, wonderful store, helpful and kind employees, better than bigger pet chains by a long shot. All healthy and thriving fish. The only stores I’ve seen do better are aquatics stores where fish are the specialty. Absolute 10/10, good prices too. Coming from someone as picky and judgy as myself, this is a star among dust.

So we had been coming here for years. Never had an issue. Staff was always friendly, seemed to have that small town vibe, even though it is a corporate owned company since 2015. Recently as we do every year before the holidays and going out of town, my particular dog has longer fur and needs the Furminator treatment. Never had a problem before can typically take as much time as you need, within reason as well as as you can set up an appointment so you’re not just a walk-in and don’t get a tub for your dog. So not only were we an appointment and returning customers for years, but there’s a manager in there by the name of Ed. That I hope nobody has to deal with because according to him it doesn’t matter what you’re doing even though he will tell you he’s not a groomer and has no idea what he’s talking about that you should have your dog in and out of that tub appointment or not within 30 minutes and will constantly come and hound you asking you to leave and hurry up while you are washing your dog. Definitely Not professional experience at all not sure what happened to this place but I really hope ownership takes care of this problem and doesn’t hire managers like Ed and gets rid of Ed as soon as possible. I had to physically stop what I was doing to go up to this place and have a talk with this manager for how he spoke with my wife while she was doing what she’s always done there before and never had an issue. I would recommend anyone that has to wash your dog at this point go anywhere else or suck it up and wash your dog at home so you don’t have to worry about getting harassed.

I called about ghost shrimp. I told them I needed a lot. They said they had them. I drove a little over 30 minutes to get there and asked the first person I saw about them and he said yeah but I think they’re all dead. He van for me that every time they get them they keep dying and these were left in a box for over 24 hours in the floor. I told him I was the one that called. I wish they would’ve told me. I went to leave they never said anything else. I decided I’d go look at some other fish and maybe get an algae eater. when I got to that tank, There was a dead algae eater. There’s a dead goldfish in the goldfish tank and they were dead fish in about every tank in there. I wouldn’t buy any fish from here.

Went into Pet Supermarket today and Tristan helped us. He was wonderful! Super sweet, attentive, and clearly cared about the customers. What stood out most was how much he truly cared for the animals. An excellent pet store employee!
