Petco

Just wanted to share what a great little outing we had at Petco in Huntersville today 🐠💙 I called ahead to see if it’d be okay for my kids to stop by and help feed the fish, and Titus, the store manager, was more than happy to accommodate. When we arrived, Ashely* greeted us and let us know she’d be helping us out with the feeding. To my surprise, the kids got to feed as many fish as they could before the squares ran out — and they absolutely loved it! Ashley* was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and even helped us with the “adoption” of our newest little family member 🐟 Such a fun and low-key way to wrap up our “under the sea” learning theme from home 🌊 Hoping to go again when the cat center is hope. unfortunately, they were closed the entire time we were there. Thanks again, Petco Huntersville!

My first review was removed BUT I STILL NOT BE SILENT!!!!! I came in August to get shots for my senior cat and get a referral so he could get an eye surgery. He saw Dr.Zavala. They gave me a pamphlet for an eye specialist and claimed they sent a referral, I waited several days and when I called the specialist after not receiving a follow up call. The specialist notified me they NEVER RECEIVED A REFERRAL (they also failed to give a proper perscription, they said they went it to a cvs, when i showed up the pharmacist trying to ask for a prescription for my cat they looked at me like i was insane, so they also failed to even send in a prescription). when I called for an explaination about this I never recieved a phone call or even a voicemail explanation. I couldn't even see the specialist without that referral. We were turned away and because of that i had to start from square one. It cost my 9 year old cat his life.YOUR STAFFS NEGLIGENCE KILLED MY CAT!! Never take your pets here I wouldn't trust them ever. Pictures below are him before his eye lost sight and after. My fur baby is gone because he had veterinary staff that didn't care and were negligent. THIS COULD OF BEEN PREVENTED!!!!

I went to 2 other pet stores looking for a robust dog bed as my poodle absolutely destroys the bedding material. The dog bed selections were minimal. I looked online and Petco had them in stock. I ordered the bed online which was very simple and the process at the store was so quick and easy. Special acknowledgement to Titus (Store Manager) as he was welcoming and so helpful in the store.

This was our first time in here because we typically go to a different brand store that is much closer to our house in Charlotte, however they did not carry the specific item we needed. I asked someone for help because there was an empty spot on the shelf for the item that said online it was available in store, and the other item that was like it actually had a card to take the the register. So we walked up together and had Dawn dig through a box to get what I needed after I told her I needed the blue box and not the purple that she kept trying to get. I then asked if she could hold on to it because my husband and I wanted to look around a little bit more. When it was time to check out I explained to Dawn that I had just signed up for the rewards account but it wouldn't let me add my phone number so I asked if we could look it up by the number. She, rather rudely, told me I would need to call customer service to have this updated. She then told me my total and I let her know that it was priced cheaper online and again, rather rudely, stated that that's how it is sometimes. She corrected the amount and we left... Befuddled by the entire interaction. Needless to say, this will be our last time shopping at Petco and I will order what I need online from a different company moving forward.

I didn't know that Petco had an adoption center in this store, and I can honestly say I was amazed. I saw a cat I was interested in on Adopt A Pet, and discovered Elvis was at this store. I called and the young lady told me to come right in. Everyone there was so friendly, and I immediately noticed how clean everything was. There was no smell from the cat enclosures. They were spacious and very comfortable for the cats. The cats were very relaxed and healthy. The young lady who greeted us got Elvis out of his enclosure and it was love at first sight. She told us how much she loved him too. The adoption fee was very reasonable, his records were reviewed with us, we filled out the paperwork, and we went home with Elvis, who we renamed Boo. I have been adopting cats for over 40 years, and I think this is the best experience I have ever had. If you're looking for a cat, and they have dogs too, I would highly recommend this Petco.
