Precision Garage Door Service

Today I used Precision Garage Door Service. I was greeted by Jonathan Elliott with a big smile! He listened to my concern, needing new rubber replacement on the bottom of my garage door. He was courteous, explained the repair price and did a great job. I now have Jonathan as a contact on my phone! I’ve already recommended him to a friend needing garage door service!!!🤗

Precision came out fast and when scheduled. Josh and his helper were friendly and fixed my belt. They gave me detailed reports on what they recommend for my 15 yr old doors. Would recommend

The technician, Brandon, arrived within a couple of hours of my call. He took into consideration what I asked for, he was not pushy and seemed very honest with what was needed now vs. could wait. He took my response seriously and did not push an upsell. The work was done quickly and I plan on calling back for the upgrades in the near future. He was friendly and even replaced the pull string for free.

We spent $1,800 in June 2025 on a new spring and other parts that we were told were necessary and covered under a 5-year warranty. Less than a year later, the door started popping when opening, so we called Precision back out in May 2026. Before they even arrived, we were told the warranty covered parts but not the $95 service call fee. Fine. But once they came out, we were told the door “needed a tune-up” and then immediately got a sales pitch for new rollers and a quieter opener. We declined the extra upsells and still paid $155 for the “tune-up.” What’s frustrating is this: if the door needed to be adjusted and tuned, why wasn’t that done when the $1,800 repair was completed less than a year ago? That should have been part of doing the job correctly the first time. This company feels far more focused on upselling than on standing behind their work. The whole experience felt more like dealing with car sales tactics than a service company. Constant suggestions for additional parts, “special deals,” and the classic “let me check with my manager” routine. The right response should have been: “Sir, your door just needs an adjustment/service, and that should have been addressed during the original repair. We’ll take care of it today at no charge.” Honestly, I probably still would have paid the service fee if they had simply acknowledged that the original work should have included proper adjustment and setup. Instead, it felt like another opportunity to squeeze more money out of an existing customer. I don’t mind paying for quality service. I do mind paying twice because the first job wasn’t completed thoroughly. Hopefully our last payment helps their bottom line, because it will be the last money they get from me. Be aware: when they come out, expect aggressive upselling and pressure to buy additional parts or upgrades. Those old-fashioned companies that simply do the job right and stand behind their work seem harder and harder to find.

This is the second time we have had Precision Garage Door Service upgrade and repair portions of our garage door systems. As usual, the work was exceptional and the service was exemplary. Ryan did an amazing job getting us up and running with a new unit, new key pads, and we also managed to address concerns in wiring where dubious choices were made by prior owners.
