Queen City Sweeps

The professionals at Queen City Sweeps are talented, communicative, caring, detail oriented and professional. They completed a very big, three-day job for us that involved installing a high efficiency wood burning fireplace insert that required an insulated flue-liner to be installed in our more than 30-foot tall chimney. They erected scaffolding without harming our landscaping, had to demolish the inner terracotta liner within our chimney, collect all the broken pieces that fell inside the fireplace and did all that WITHOUT making a mess! They also custom fabricated a stainless steel chimney cap that prevents rain from entering the chimney and installed it by rebuilding the top of our chimney. They sent us pictures as the job progressed and as you can tell, WE WERE IMPRESSED! The guys were top notch, worked so well together, were fun to be around and have incredible expertise and experience. We are so glad we found Queen City Sweeps. The owners are also extremely nice and did a great job setting expectations. When the bill came there were no surprises. We had never experienced Queen City Sweeps before but are so glad they became our contractor. We couldn't be more pleased with our wood burner. It heats our entire home!

I made myself clear as to my needs for aesthetic reasons and was not going to use the fireplace any longer. I wanted a new cap to replace the old one. What I got was just the chase cover. The owner appeared to know what he was doing, but the schedule got changed and I ACCOMMODATED THEM. There was a small inside job they said they could do for free. OK. The inside job should have only taken 5 minutes. “Tony” had to take measurements, go get the part, have it cut, and come back. The outside job now looks like a child started the project and got bored half way through. I was never given option A or B, just the chase cover OR chase cover and cap. When I asked “Tony” about the completed project, he gave some flimsy excuse that “ they don’t do that” they don’t replace the caps, it’s in good shape, you can have it painted. What?! The “free” inside job doesn’t fit. It fell as soon as I walked away. I just told Tony to leave. I didn’t even really care about the inside job. I am severely disappointed with the outside job. So embarrassed with the outcome that I will NOT even show anyone the before and after results. Now I’m hoping a different company can come and install a cap so that the job looks complete.

I had Queen City Sweeps install a wood burning insert into my existing masonry fireplace. There were some hiccups initially, but the ownership worked to sort them out even when more problems arose. They came to my house 4 times to make sure I was happy. Very impressed with the level of service and very happy with the final product. Two caveats: schedule way ahead, they get booked up, make sure you confirm measurements and final look to be sure you are satisfied with the install.

I simply can't say enough positive things about QC Sweeps, Brandon, and Crystal. When I had a problem they worked me into their already busy schedule and completely addressed the issue. Billing was more than fair. I've used QC Sweeps several times now and I can't think of any reason to use anyone else. I rarely, rarely give five star reviews, but they've earned every single one!

We had our old gas fire place insert replaced with an electric one two weeks ago. The guys at Queen City Sweeps did an amazing job. Professional, friendly, local company who truly cares about what’s best for the customer. They graciously worked around a last min change to the marble surround to make sure it was the look I wanted. Very happy with the final results and their phenomenal customer service!!! Would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.
