Ranson Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care

My father has been a resident at Ranson Ridge 13 months. When he first moved in it was clean and the food was very good with two nice choices at lunch and dinner and fresh fruit ar every breakfast. It had been recently acquired by Saber Healthcare Group and the skilled staff that we once knew (in particular the ED and Care coordinators) were replaced by people who did not have the qualifications and experience needed to run a private pay facility. This caused more workers and residents to jump ship and chaos and turmoil within the residents and staff. Then a couple of months ago Jena Christenbury was hired on as the new ED. She has been a shining light of hope ever since she started. She has single handedly brought this facility back from the brink of disaster. She has hired the right people, built a solid communication network with her staff and has mended bridges with the staff and residents. She holds her staff accountable and has gotten to know the residents personally. She is a common sight in the halls and has no problem helping wherever needed. The staff and residents are much happier than they have been in years due to Jena’s amazing leadership style. The facility is cleaner and has an air of happiness again. There are still small things that need to get fixed because this facility is a seasoned one. I am confident with Jena at the helm she will restore this beautiful living place back to its former glory.

My mother has been at Ranson Ridge for two and three quarter years. We have been nothing but pleased with the care she has received while there. When she had to be moved to the Memory Care unit five months ago, the staff did a wonderful job of transitioning her and making her feel welcome there. They have done a remarkable job keeping the facility virus-free. I would recommend Ranson Ridge highly to anyone needing loving care. Matter of fact, I hope they have room for me in a few years when my time comes.

5 year stay …Outstanding from the day we brought my father into Ranson Ridge and met Cathy Hansen. Cathy does the Marketing and placement at the facility but you will learn over time she is so much more of an asset to the whole experience. The professionalism of the entire Staff is just great. I could list 15 people we got to know and rely on. The day to day care of my father was just wonderful and Ranson Ridge always worked with us if we had requests along the way to make his stay more comfortable. The nursing and medical teams were just wonderful to work with and went out of their way to over communicate any issues with my Dad. One other important point I would like to make: My father eventually went from Ranson Ridge to the Hospital for 5 days and then Olde Knox (skilled nursing across the street and sister facility) before he passed at age 91. The help and transition between all 3 facilities was amazing and very caring for our family when the difficult time came. This is where you want your loved one.

My mom moved into Ranson Ridge almost three years ago, and we have been very happy with her care! Mom moved from her home where she had lived independently, and we were all nervous about the decision to move to assisted living. We interviewed five facilities and left the decision to Mom...she chose Ranson Ridge and we were in total agreement! When you first enter, you notice the beautifully decorated rooms, but the best part is the staff...they are ALL amazing...so caring and loving with every resident...they truly feel like extended family. We are thrilled with the wonderful medical staff who respond quickly to any concerns. Also, they have a Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy group on site! Mom enjoys the food and activities and looks forward to the many musical programs. It is a very active community with many stimulating and interesting activities to keep residents active and engaged. During this crazy time of quarantine, we are so grateful for the exceptional care the staff takes to keep everyone safe and healthy. It means the world to have peace of mind knowing Mom is being well cared for. We love Ranson Ridge and are so happy Mom chose to live there!

Ranson Ridge is a beautiful assisted living facility. The staff is wonderful. They are considerate, kind, and compassionate. My mother recently moved in and the staff was very welcoming and patient with her. My father lived out his final years here and now my mother will too.
