Savory House Kitchen (By Chef Derek)

I love Savory House Kitchen! I've had Chef Derek's food at catering events, I've taken his cooking classes, and now his to-go menu! It has all been delicious and mouth watering! The portions on his to-go menu are huge and well worth every penny! He uses all fresh ingredients and puts his heart and soul into all of his cooking.

Savory House Kitchen was so easy to work with for our wedding in Charlotte. Chef Derek was excited to cater a smaller wedding and suggested a Jamaican-style menu that our guests loved. For real, people raved about how flavorful the cabbage was, which you don't see often. The planning process was super-organized and the prices were right. We visited their tasting room in Denver where Ms. Tammy and Chef Derek made sure we were happy with our food options. The catering and bar staff that worked our wedding were punctual and super helpful. We didn't have to lift a finger to direct them, they just did a great job and made sure we and our guests had everything we needed. It made a potentially stressful day easy.

These are the best wings and Quesadillas in Denver. Don’t get me talking about all the house made sauces. Their marinara sauce for the Quesadillas sauce alone is a reason to go there. Talk about fresh and hot food, this is it. The chef and owner is very nice and professional. We were even able to sample one of his new creations. Do your tastebuds a favor and go get Savory!

Wow! Let me just say, this is probably the best place we have eaten at in a very long time! A hidden gem but you MUST try this place!! From start to finish Savory hits on every aspect of your experience. On Monday evening we stopped in and just decided to check out their menu- well we ended up getting way more than we expected. We were greeted by Chef Derek himself who explained the entire menu and how they operate. We ended up trying a few different items on the menu and were blown away!! He wasn’t lying when he told us there wasn’t anything on there we wouldn’t like. We got the Smash Burger, App sampler, and the Honey Siracha bowl, all of which were INCREDIBLE!! Chef Derek and his crew are professional and take pride in truly making your experience worthwhile. More than anything we just appreciated the hard work and kindness that he showed us for our first visit. He truly cares about his craft and We are SO looking forward to going back!!

I worked with Chef Derek and came up with two meals for my family celebration for 30 guests. We included set up and two servers for one of the meals which made it so easy for me to enjoy my family. The beef short ribs were amazing for the first meal and the kitchen was left spotless by Ann Marie and Nathan, who were so professional and nice to work with. The second meal, chicken alfredo, was also amazing and so easy for us to serve. Chef Derek also included an option for one quest with food restrictions. At the end of the day, I can't tell you how many compliments I received about the quality of the food such as "So good...Best I ever had...Loved that sauce.. " I look forward to picking up meals from the ToGo weekly menu on a regular basis, it was that good! I feel so lucky to have found Chef Derek and his family at Savory House Kitchen.
