My review rating level of 1 star is for Truliant as a whole, not for this particular Huntersville branch location (although that is where I initially opened my business account over 8 years ago). Truliant has absolutely no integration between their credit union side (savings/checking) and their credit card side of the house. I had a situation where my my checking account was put into "inactive" status due to no transactional activity for 6 months. They say this is to protect the customer (me) from fraud, but the issue is they don't notify you at all regarding this status change (a simple text msg or email would be sufficient). As a result of my account being inactive, my Truliant credit card payment was "returned" (I've got automatic debit for my Truliant credit card amount each month from my Truliant checking account). As a result I was also charged a $25 fee for this returned payment. I called the Truliant 800 number and literally got transferred 6 times back and forth between their credit union side and the credit card side (which evidently is outsourced). I had to reverify my account info each time I got transferred. I literally was on the phone for 1 hour and 2 minutes trying to get someone who could understand the situation (neither group seemed to know what the other was doing). I finally asked to get escalated to a supervisor, who was able to quickly resolve the situation, reactivate my account, and refund the $25 fee. However, I am still dismayed at the lack of systems integration between the two groups -- as well as the fact that no customer notification takes place if an account is placed in inactive status. I would love for someone in leadership at Truliant to see what they would experience if they had a similar situation. I don't think it would be reflective of the basic level of customer service you want for Truliant. I also took time to write an email to their CEO outlining these opportunities for improvement, but not surprisingly have received no reply. I am a believer in credit unions, but very disappointed in Truliant.

If you are looking for one of the best financial banking institutions, look no further than Truliant Federal Credit Union. They always demonstrate a solid understanding of Best In Class customer service. Don’t sleep on them.

This Bank so awful I’m so glad I do not bank with the them no more. All I wanted was to a cash a check with them their no more worry about you being me member and wanted running credit to get approved with them it just absolutely stupid and embarrassing. Now I know our relationship burned from Financial mistakes I made in the past but to sit here not cash check that with ya Just completely stupid . I truly wish this bank closed down because their so horrible to non customer it just sad like even they question who I bank with when it none your business. Just sad and poor

Went in to Truliant about a car loan and had a few questions about how to go about doing the purchase and Amber Daniel’s helped me she answered all my questions and she answered everything I needed plus some thing I didn’t know about. She was super nice and helpful she went up and beyond what I expected. Thank goodness for people like her Thank you Amber .Ps I would give her 10 stars but there’s only 5.
