Waterside Docks and Piers

Absolutely love my new dock. randy returned all calls promptly worked with me to get the dock within my budget. All work was done professionally and on a timely basis came out when it was finished and did a thorough inspection. Look forward to enjoying lake time on my dock for many years to come

Great service as well as great work. You can travel along Lake Norman and see a lot of docks and piers and more than likely these people can pull it off. Great owners and amazing small business here locally! If you need a dock or pier for your lake side house give them a call.

I gave him 50% up front, after 13 weeks I finally asked for my money back. Commitments made to install lift, missed four times, each followed with "I hope to get it in next week". At that time he said "I'll see if I can return the lift and then get my money first". Randy is full of excuses, and never does what he says. It was the same when he did my boat lift in the fall. Chasing him gets old. I suggested if he didn't refund my money after all this I'd be left with no option but to sue, he said "Go ahead, if you want to waste your time. He then said he'd do the job on the following Tuesday if I gave him another chance, which I did. We were to meet Saturday to discuss location, he never made that meeting. I then asked for my money back, he agreed. A week later he has not mailed the check. More waiting on Randy

In a word? BEWARE. In many more words? Well...here we go... As the president of the Boat Slip HOA in our neighborhood, we have frequent issues that arise at many of our (almost 100) docks which are 24 years old. Left without much choice, we have worked with Waterside Docks for the majority of structural repairs, despite the over-promising, missed arrival dates, and total lack of communication mentioned by other reviewers of this company, and specifically, Randy Keith. Our most recent issue was to address a 'soft' walkway due to rotted boards underneath, along with the replacement of a handful of dock floats that were taking on water. On May 4th, 2021, we were told by Randy that his team would be out "next week" to fix the walkway. It's now exactly 8 months later, and after repeated calls/emails/texts to Randy, he has essentially ghosted us, which is unfortunate. We did however find a different company in a matter of one day to come out and quote the job, and they are scheduled to begin work very soon. They say one man's trash is another man's treasure. In this instance though, I recommend leaving Waterside Docks at the side of the road, to let them travel to the landfill. It's just not worth the time and effort required to polish them back to useable condition again. * Pic of our repair area attached -- it has been this way since MAY of '21!!!

Randy,they did a job for one of my clients ( over charged) and totally gutted the electric out , which he also said that it would be $1200 to repair. And he could not explain why this happened because he never set foot on the job Totally absentee owner, beware the buyer
