Willow Wood Coffee

This cafe had the most beautiful seating areas and restroom, they had lotion in the restroom I loved that special touch. Coffees we tried were oh wow and cold brew both 10/10 will stop by again! Thanks to our barista Analiese sweet as can be!

I come here often for meetings with friends or industry professionals and I forget to take pictures. It is a smaller shop in the heart of downtown Cornelius that has outdoor seating. My young adult children also enjoy meeting friends here. My favorite is the latte. No flavor in particular, just a plain latte. The coffee is not bitter and is always perfect. They have a parking lot that can sometimes get busy, but the interior is light and bright. It is one of our favorite places to grab a cup of joe.

Live & Sip, Local! Supported since opening and enjoy the inside as much as the cozy outdoor seating. Today I tried the Oh Wow (with oat milk so oooowoooow!) and the expression came to mind each sip and was matched by the prolific butterfly bushes covered in various butterflies 🦋

I had a very uncomfortable experience at this coffee shop yesterday around 2:30 PM. I came in to do some work on my laptop. The employee at the counter greeted me and asked if I wanted anything, and I politely said I might order in a moment since I needed to settle in and start working first. While I was there, I felt like he kept watching me repeatedly, even while I was on the phone. It made me feel pressured and unwelcome, as if I was expected to order immediately just to be allowed to sit there. After about 30 minutes, I went to the counter and asked if I needed to purchase something, and he confirmed that I did. He also mentioned something about using the WiFi, which came across as unnecessary and a bit dismissive t’s not like the WiFi is going to run out. I did tell him directly that the way he was looking at me was unnecessary and very impolite. I still ended up buying a bottle of water, but the overall interaction felt uncomfortable and could have been handled in a much more polite and straightforward way. I completely understand that businesses may expect customers to make a purchase, but the constant staring and indirect comments instead of simply explaining the policy upfront made the experience unpleasant. I’ve been to many coffee shops and have never felt this kind of treatment before. I live in Cornelius and have visited a few times, but unfortunately this experience makes me never to come back.

Friendly staff, good coffee, decent selection of pastries. They have some breakfast sandwich options that are dynamite. I particularly like the Jack Wrapit sandwich. All are a good value for the price paid. Decent amount of seating both inside and out.
