4th of July at Birkdale Village
What to expect.
This is the morning the kids will remember. 4th of July in the Village is Birkdale's family-first Independence Day party — a free celebration built around the annual decorated-bike parade, a fire-truck wet down, and a block party to follow. Grab your red, white, and blue crew and plan to be there for the whole loop.
The schedule runs like clockwork and it's all about the little ones. Bike decorating kicks off at 10:00am near Concierge, the parade rolls out at 11:00 in front of Starbucks, and at 11:30 the Huntersville Fire Department cools everyone off with a wet down. Then the block party takes over The Plaza around 11:45 with face painting, balloon twisters, magicians, and more. The whole thing wraps by early afternoon, running roughly 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Decorate a bike, roll past Starbucks, get hosed down by the fire department — Birkdale's Fourth is the most fun your kids will have before lunch.
It's an easy, walkable, shop-and-stroll kind of Fourth — the perfect daytime complement to fireworks somewhere else that evening. Dress the kids (and the wagon, and the dog) in their patriotic best and make a morning of it before the July heat sets in.
