What to expect.
Get those costumes ready! Downtown Davidson is getting into the Halloween spirit with Halloweekend 2026, a festive celebration filled with trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, glowing jack-o'-lanterns, and plenty of small-town charm.
The fun kicks off Friday, October 23, with Davidson's beloved Halloween March, when little ghosts, superheroes, princesses, and creatures of all kinds take over Main Street for an evening of trick-or-treating. Families should gather at the Davidson Public Safety Building at 5 PM before heading down Main Street.
Before or after the march, stop by the Town Green for a Pumpkin Carving Party from 4–6:30 PM. Bring your own pumpkin or purchase one from the Davidson United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch. The first 25 carvers even get a free pumpkin! Carving tools and simple patterns will be available.
The creativity continues with the Jack-O'-Lantern Walk, where carved pumpkins will light up the Town Green from October 23–30. Leave your masterpiece for the community to admire or take it home to brighten your own front porch.
And the festivities don't stop there! On Saturday, October 24, head to South Main Street for The South Main Crawl Back from 5–9 PM, featuring live music, shopping, food, specials, and surprises at participating businesses.
