★ Editor's PickLakeside Artists Studio Tour
What to expect.
Some of Lake Norman's best art isn't hanging in a gallery. It's being created in studios tucked away around the lake—and for one weekend each fall, you're invited inside.
The 18th Annual Lakeside Artists Studio Tour returns October 23–25, offering a rare opportunity to meet 20 talented local and regional artists, explore their creative spaces, and discover original artwork right where it's made.
Spend the weekend wandering through studios along Mooresville's scenic Brawley School Road peninsula, where you'll find everything from paintings, pottery, and jewelry to woodworking, fiber art, prints, metalwork, and mixed media. Meet the artists, hear the stories behind their creations, and maybe find that perfect piece you didn't know you were looking for.
Whether you're an art collector, searching for a one-of-a-kind holiday gift, or just looking for a fun way to spend a fall afternoon, this self-guided tour is a wonderful excuse to explore a more creative side of Lake Norman.
The best part? Admission is completely free. Visit one studio or make a day of it—the adventure is yours to create.
LKN Life Tip: Check out the studio map before heading out and plan your route. Give yourself time to chat with the artists. Hearing the inspiration behind a piece is half the fun!
