The overview

What to expect.

Every town needs a standing Tuesday plan, and on the south end of the lake this is it. Trivia Night at Primal Brewery runs every Tuesday from 7 to 9pm at the Huntersville taproom — good drinks, great company, and a chance to show off your smarts. Best of all, it's totally free to play. Round up a team, claim a table, and settle in.

The setting does a lot of the work. Primal has an extensive beer garden with picnic tables and fire pits, a rotating cast of the area's most popular food trucks, and it's both family- and dog-friendly — so you can bring the whole crew, leashed pup included. There's no kitchen on-site, but you're welcome to bring your own food, order delivery, or grab something from whatever truck is parked out front, plus taproom snacks like soft pretzels and popcorn if you just need something to nibble between rounds.

"

Free to play, a great beer in hand, and a food truck out front — Primal's Tuesday trivia is the easiest standing plan on the lake.

As Huntersville's original brewery — open since 2014 with a founding philosophy built around bringing people together over great beer and good food — Primal knows how to run a fun, low-key weeknight. Whether you're a trivia ringer or just there for the beer and the company, it's a reliably good way to break up the week.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need to register or reserve a table?
The brewery suggests registering through the event page, and it's smart to arrive a little early on busy nights to grab a good spot for your group.
Can I bring a team — and how big?
Absolutely; trivia's better with a crew. Round up your friends and grab a table together. (Team size caps, if any, are set by the host that night.)
Is there food?
There's no restaurant on-site, but you can bring your own food, get delivery, or order from the rotating food trucks at the brewery, plus taproom snacks like soft pretzels, fresh popcorn, and house chips.
Is it dog-friendly?
Yes. Friendly, well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in both the beer garden and the taproom.
What's there to drink besides beer?
Plenty. Primal pours a wide range of styles — IPAs, pale ales, seltzers, and more inventive options — plus a wine selection for non-beer drinkers.
