Whit's Frozen Custard

I wasn't sure about frozen custard, but, oh my, it was good. I got a small Luscious Lake Norman - It was fantastic - lots of pecans, not too much caramel or fudge, it was just right. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside at one of the tables and enjoyed an after lunch "ice cream" (I honestly don't know the difference between ice cream and frozen custard - and after today, I'm not sure there is a difference). Oh, and the staff was great - really pleasant and helpful even though it was busy. We will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend

The manager at the Davidson store was so rude to me today in front of my 12 year old son. I had been calling their store for the past 2 days to place a cake order. Since no one answered the phone, I went to the Davidson store directly to see if they had any premade cakes I could pick up. The lady at the cash register who identified herself as the manager of the store was extremely rude from the start. She was chatting with a patron despite seeing that I was waiting for her at the cash register.for more than 7 minutes. When she finally came over, I asked her about a cake. She told me that I should call 48 hours ahead of time to place an order for a cake. I politely told her that I did call but no one answered. Her response was "Oh I see. You just came here to insult me. Get out of the store". I was speechless and completely confused so I asked her why she was being rude to me, especially in front of my son, and she simply again just told me to get out. I still do not understand what happened, except that, I feel so awful that my son had to see this. I tried to change the topic with my son once we were out of the store, but couldn't hide the fact that I was so embarrassed and upset about the whole situation. I've been to Whits at Huntersville and Mooresville and have always been treated nicely. Not sure how else to handle this situation but I want to make sure she doesn't speak that way to anyone again.

Friendly staff and some decent custard. Quite of bit of pre-packaged frozen custard that is very easy to take as a to-go item. My sundae and my daughter's cone were both delicious. Ample parking. Lots of outdoor seating and a small bit of indoor seating. We look forward to returning.

Whit’s never disappoints. They have vanilla, chocolate, a flavor of the week, and some specials. Our party tried all kinds of toppings in our frozen custards. You can’t go wrong with any combination of toppings. We highly recommend for a cold treat on a hot summer day! Or any day.

I don't like to review places badly, but this one is impossible. The place had 4 teenagers serving, poor service, they were talking and eating ice cream instead of cleaning the place, which was filthy. We ordered a Davidson Deligth (I think it's called that), a total disappointment, a very poor quality ice cream, like MC Donald's Sunday, with a very weak top of 1 finger of Brownie, extremely poorly made and already melted, a real rubbish, I couldn't finish eating it was so bad. When you're at an ice cream shop you expect something different, but any Walmart ice cream is better than this. I don't understand, the place just moved, they shouldn't have left it abandoned with such unprepared people serving it. 07/28/2024 in Afternoon.
